Mindfulness practices can help with sporting performance by improving concentration and relaxing important muscle groups.
Being aware of negative thoughts and feelings can also be useful as they can then be transformed into those that are more conducive to sporting success.
Mindfulness for sports performance can help improve self-confidence and situational awareness. It can also help individuals to work more effectively as part of a team.
The practices taught as part of mindfulness-based sports performance training can enhance mental resilience, mental preparation and the ability to regulate emotions in the sporting environment.
