We are located in the peaceful village of Clogherhead about 15 minutes’ drive from Drogheda.
One to one and couple’s sessions take place in our private consultation rooms. Mindfulness Meditation classes take place in our meditation room unless otherwise stated and are facilitated by Eileen McCarney and David Culver.
Both Eileen and David are qualified mindfulness teachers having trained at the University of North Wales in Bangor. Between them, they have over 30 years’ experience both meditating themselves and in teaching mindfulness meditation. Both Eileen and David have also trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Professor Mark Williams, the originators of Mindfulness-Based approaches.
Eileen Mc Carney
M.Sc., Registered Mindfulness Teacher and Breathworks™ Trainer
Eileen Mc Carney has a master’s Degree in Mindfulness-based approaches from Bangor University in North Wales.
Having originally qualified as a nurse-midwife, Eileen has over fifteen years’ experience working with groups in the community. During her career she has worked with several mental health organisations and those providing homeless services. She has also worked in various hospital and community settings.
A meditation practitioner for over thirty years, she trained with “Breathworks”, an organisation that teaches how to use Mindfulness Meditation techniques to find relief from stress, pain, and illness.
A qualified tutor, facilitator and trainer, Eileen has considerable experience designing, implementing, and delivering programmes for groups in the business, voluntary and community sectors. These include mindfulness-based approaches to stress, illness, and parenting.

David Culver has a master’s Degree in Mindfulness-based approaches from Bangor University in North Wales and a BA in Psychology from Trinity College, Dublin.
A qualified and experienced trainer, David has over ten years’ experience working with groups in the business and community sectors. He also trained with the Irish Heart Foundation as a smoking cessation therapist and more recently with the Progressive College, Dublin as a carer.
He also has over ten years’ experience as a counsellor and psychologist providing therapy for a wide range of emotional difficulties including anxiety, depression, addictions, fears, and phobias.
A meditation practitioner for over ten years, David is an experienced Mindfulness Meditation teacher. Having a special interest in relationships he works with individuals, couples, and groups using mindfulness-based approaches to resolve issues such as communication difficulties and conflict to help them enjoy happier and more fulfilling relationships.
