Mindfulness for Healthcare Workers and Nurses

A one-day course teaching mindfulness-based stress reduction practices for Healthcare workers and Nurses will take place on Saturday June 8th 2019 from 10am to 4pm. This course will give you an introduction to Mindfulness practices and teach you how to use them to cope with the stress of caring for the sick and elderly. The cost for this course is €80 (€20 deposit required on booking).

Mindfulness for Life

A 'Mindfulness for Life' one-day Meditation course will take place in Anála Mindfulness on Saturday 22 June 2019. This course will teach you how to use mindfulness practices to manage the stresses that are part of daily life. It will also help you to communicate more effectively and enjoy your relationships more fully. The cost of this course is €80 (this includes downloads or cd's of mindfulness practices)

Stress Management

A 5 week Mindfulness-Based Stress Management Course will commence in Anála Mindfulness on Thursday 21st February 2019 from 7pm to 9.30pm. This course will help you understand the causes of stress and teach you how to manage the stresses in your life. Mindfulness for Healthcare

Courses and workshops are available teaching Mindfulness-based stress management practices to those training or working in the healthcare sector.

These courses are suitable for nurses and care workers helping them to manage the stresses that are a part of their work.

Research has shown that mindfulness practices can improve qualities such as empathy and self-compassion. They may also contribute to improved patient outcomes, excellence in nursing practice and higher levels of patient satisfaction.

Training can take place in a classroom or other environment with groups of up to around 20 persons.

All our trainers are qualified and experienced healthcare professionals and available for immediate available for immediate consultations and training.

Mindfulness at Work

Mindfulness has been shown to enhance physical and mental health and improve performance in the workplace. Courses are available for Workplace Stress, for Health and Wellbeing and to enhance Sports Performance.

We offer free introductory talks on mindfulness and are happy to come to your place of work or centre to discuss your requirements.

Mindfulness courses are tailored to respond to the needs of a specific work environment and provide individuals with the opportunity to learn and put into practice new knowledge and skills

Fully structured one day workshops and courses are available at a location that suits your needs. We also use the training facilities in the Barbican Centre in Drogheda or for smaller groups, in our room in Clogherhead.

One to One Services

During these sessions we will help you with the issues you are having in your life. Whether you are feeling stressed, experiencing anxiety or difficulties in relationships, mindfulness-based approaches can be very effective in providing relief.

Our approach is based on Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). It will help you to apply mindfulness and meditation practices in realistic and practical ways. You will also learn about mindfulness and receive guidance in the form of Cd’s or downloaded tracks.

Sessions are available by appointment face to face or using Skype or other web-based platforms.

Mindfulness Meditation Sessions

Drop-in meditation sessions for beginners take place on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm in The Barbican Centre, William St, Drogheda

Beginners are welcome and no need to Book “Just drop in and sit”.

These sessions are free but a suggested donation of €5 towards the use of the centre will be very much appreciated. (See www.thebarbican.ie for directions)
